Hi There,

I had another wedding this past weekend. It was great! I knew the bride pretty well before all of the major planning began but she decided to bring me on for assistance a few months before the wedding. She was on a very tight budget and I was happy to help. I can't emphasize enough that a bride on a budget CAN afford an event planner. I was able to help her cut some corners and save some money. I did all of her table decor. I used branches, vases, rocks, orchids, and beads for one centerpiece and the total cost was less than $10 per item! She had long banquet tables all lined up so we lined ribbon down the center of all the tables. I also used some clear vases and put pink roses in each vase and lined those down the center of the tables. We also added votives. We decorated all of the tables for under $200 it was all very impactful and fun. The food was amazing. They used Famous Dave's for the catering. MMMM who doesn't like barbecue! It was a great day despite the weather.

Congrats Andrea and Jason !

Mike and Sarah

Hey there everyone!
I did a wedding on the 22nd and it was amazing! They were married at Holy Redeemer in Detroit and had their reception at the Masonic Temple. The staff at the Masonic were great to work with. Mike and Sarah hired me for Collection Two, my partial planning option. One glitch in the day would have been the cake. YIKES!!! They ordered their cake from a local bakery because they only wanted a small cake to cut into. Mike went in a week before the wedding to pay off the balance. After that, they asked me if I would pick it up and take it to the masonic temple for them. I said I would and I was fine with that. When I got to the bakery Friday morning (the morning of the wedding) it wasn't done!!! All of the contracts said August 22nd but when I spoke to the woman she said she thought the wedding was in September! OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I got right to work on it and got the cake issue taken care of! WHEW!! One more reason to work with a wedding planner... reputable vendors!

Mike and Sarah are such a great couple. Sarah looked absolutely gorgeous! One of my favorite parts of the evening was when Mike, the groom danced to "Billy Jean" by Micheal Jackson. I later found out that it was an act he learned when he was younger. What a great night!
CONGRATS MIKE AND SARAH!!!
